The Hoover has two different tanks for both the cleaning solution and the dirty tanks. This is the same basic setup you will see in the Bissell Spot Bot, but on the Bissell ProHeat 2x you will find a cleaver compartment that holds both tanks. The problem lies in the fact that it is a clunky process to switch, clean and empty the dirty tank. With the Hoover Max Extract you simply tip the machine downward so the cleaning tank is laying on the floor and then you remove or replace the tank after you clean it.

When it comes to suction, many people claim their model is better than the other one. Since we are Bissell owners we cannot comment on this because we own both the spot bot and the Big Green. If you want to compare the Hoover Max, Spot Bot and Big Green there is no comparison in our humble opinion and it is the Big Green. However, the price is about $150 to $200 more than the Hoover Max Extract and ProHeat 2x.

Drying times will differ and are dependent on temperatures in the home and air circulation. Another factor in drying time is how much suction your carpet cleaner has. It will eat away at the rubber and once that happens the seal is broken and you will have water leaks. If you want to take a gamble then go ahead and use the liquid version of Oxy Clean in your machine, however before you store it run another solution of pure clean hot water through the machine to help remove the Oxy Clean residue.

One last thing we do with our solution is to add vinegar if we are cleaning up spots that contain animal droppings or such, vinegar is the perfect addition to help remove and neutralize the smell. Bissell Big Green Compared To Others

A lot of people will think about other cleaners like the Hoover can handle the same amount of use as the Big Green.  They especially like the fact that the price of the Hoover is cheaper by about $150.  However, a lot of these people have noticed that the Hoover cannot even compare to the Big Green Machine when it comes to quality and consistent cleaning over a period of time.  A lot of people have been trading in their old machines for this Bissell big green machine.

If you don’t need something for a large area and would rather go after something that is more of a spot cleaner than look no further than the Bissell little green portable deep cleaner.  The Bissell little green deep cleaner packs the same cleaning features as it’s big brother for a lot less in money.  However, keep in mind this is a spot cleaner and not a whole house cleaner when you start looking at this carpet cleaning machine.

Bissell 2080 quicksteamer upright vacuum prices are going to vary between a narrow price range.  I’ve found them as low at $109.99 and as high as $119.99.  The best place to find the steam vacuums is Amazon and you will find plenty of them online at eBay as well.  Personally we’ve had a bad experience with eBay sellers so we’ve stuck with Amazon and had much better luck.

The Bissell reviews on the 2080 Quicksteamer are numerous.  Plenty of people like this steamer and others are dissapointed with the unit.  Truthfully the positives or negatives depended on what the consumers original intent for the machine was.  Those who tried to use this as a replacement model for professional steam cleaners did not like it and those who knew it was mainly a spot machine really liked it.

What I have found through reviews and our own personal use, the Bissell spotbot might just be what you are looking for. Just like the 2080 it will clean spots in your carpet, but it’s a hands free unit.  Most 2080 buyers are looking to clean spots in the carpet.  Yes, there are those who think you can steam clean your entire carpet, these machines are not built for that kind of use.  The spotbot also has a spinoff for pet lovers.  These machines can do some real deep cleaning and sanitizes.
